Bitter Sweet

So after nearly six years of living in Logan, I have decided to move back to my hometown of Coalville. I am way excited to be closer to my family and move into a house just for me and ZiZi! That being said, I'm going to really miss my Logan family. I'll especially miss everyone at Studio 170! They have all taught me so much and I wouldn't be half the stylist I am today without them! Some of the best stylists in the biz, I tell ya.
I do have an exciting new job opportunity, though! I will be starting at Ooh La La in Park City on May 7th. I will be working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and alternating Saturdays. I'm so excited! Its so hard to start over and build a clientele from scratch but I can do it. I will also be working a day or two a week at my aunt's shop in Coalville. Let me know when you need me!
I promise to visit! I'll come up and make sure the Logan doesn't fall into a state of chaos without me here.

See ya on the flip side

What I wish every week was like...

So I pretty much had the best week ever! Its felt like I am living in Music/Hair Heaven! My parents are awesome and got me tickets to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for my birthday! I don't know how many of you know this, but I am obsessed with Tom Petty. The closest venue he was playing at was in Colorado. My brother and I road tripped it over there on Tuesday to see the opening night of his tour on Wednesday. It was amazing! Chase is the best brother ever for coming with me. Love you Buddy! Here is a video I took of him singing my jam!
Another awesome thing that happened last week? My college Bestie, Steph, came to see me at my parent's house! We colored her hair and hung out with my mama and the dogs. She has been rockin' the brown to blonde ombre and decided this time she wanted to do it in red! It turned out way pretty...
To round out my Week of Awesomeness, I had not one but TWO girls come in for Prom styles! This is Sydnee and she was ALL about the poof! Girl after my own heart, I tell ya...

This turned out so good! When she made the appointment, she just wanted curls but at the last minute changed her mind. I was, of course, happy to oblige! Next we have Mary-Kate...
JK! Different Mary Kate! Although I did get a kick out of thinking about funny Very Mary Kate jokes to myself all morning...

I hope the girls had fun at Prom! Mary Kate told me she was a "crazy dancer" which made me concernicus. I set my hairspray and bobby pinning abilities to Drag Queen Mode and went to work! If that didn't hold it, I don't know what will!
Like I said, awesome week! I will be making an announcement tomorrow. 90% of my viewers already know what it is but its nice to make a formal statement or whatever, ya know? I like to be official like that.
Peace out, girl scouts!

Stella Lou and purple hair...

This is a Public Service Announcement from The Daily Do by Les:
Its never too early to start styling your hair!
Seriously, how freaking cute is that? This is my niece Stella and I did her hair last weekend. On another hair related note...Sarah and I got a little cray-cray at the salon today!
We did an ombre of a pastel purple in my bangs and into the longer side of my hair. Its pretty neat! I'm glad I finally did it. I'm thinking tutorial tomorrow...its about time!

Don't try this at home...

To preface this, our neighbors are super weird. Pretty much they should re-name our street Creep Street. Fo' real.
Gooch, her boyfriend Zach, Jacie and I were all eating some delicious ribs Zach cooked up for us when this scene was played out next door...
That would be our neighbor cutting her boyfriend's hair. When I last saw him, he had hair down the middle of his back. It is now what I can only describe as a collar length bob. Yes, I said BOB. It was like a train wreck...
I suppose I could have intervened but this was much funnier. And like I said, creeps. Please, please, PLEASE, go to a hairstylist, people! Or even a beauty school if you are being cheap. They only charge around $5 for a haircut and the students are watched pretty closely by an instructor.
About 2 weeks ago I had to fix a girls hair because her roommate convinced her she could cut it. I had to chop 4 inches of her hair off just to make it look decent. Also, it may seem like a good idea to just trim your own bangs in between haircuts. WRONG-O. Most hairstylist will trim their client's bangs for free between appointments and the rest charge $5 or less. You could find that in change from your car's cup holder.
Point of story, leave it to the professionals. There is a reason why I have to have a license to do this stuff.

This has absolutley nothing to do with hair...

I have pretty much been living out of my car for 2 weeks. If a cop pulled me over, he'd point me in the direction of the nearest homeless shelter when he looked in my vehicle. Needless to say, the laptop hasn't always been traveling with me between Coalville and Logan.
On Friday, I did glitter toes for the North Summit Cheer Squad and should have taken some pictures! (Hey girls, if you are reading this- sometimes a toe or two will pop off. Facebook me if it has. I can fix it sometime this weekend!) They made me get in the summer mood, hence why I've been dressing like its 90 degrees outside for the last three days. Reality is, its only been about 55 degrees and actually snowed on Sunday. I'm freezing my ass off but I will persevere.
I decided to dedicate this post to Jacie, AKA Tammy the hair doll. It is her 21st birthday today! We all had work and what not but managed to go to dinner at Le Nonne and then have some cake! Jacie had a cake she wanted pinned on Pinterest...

Cute, huh? I am TOTES as good of a cake decorator as my sister, Katie so OBVIOUSLY my cake turned out exactly the same...

SEE?! Exact replica!
I am tre amazing...
Gooch loved the edible gold flakes
I forgot candles but I had a matchbook from the Wagon Wheel in Lava Hot Springs. Same diff, right? Oh, plus a toothpick. To make 21, duh.
Jacie: "Its kinda like the sparklers!"
Insert fastest rendition of "Happy Birthday" ever...
They wanted some cake, too. It was spice cake, so I gave in.
Happy Birthday Jacie Lin! Don't know what I'd do without you!
